Designed with the express intention of replacing an unsightly scene with an attractive one, the new Wideboards from Paron transform building site walls into attractive advertising spaces. The company's special large panel has been in position at Bellevue in Zurich since the beginning of summer 2010. Thanks to its popularity with both customers and advertisers, you can expect to see more Wideboards in other Swiss cities.
They may be necessary, but they do not make for an attractive townscape: construction sites featuring unsightly screens designed to hide what is happening on-site often remain in place for a long time on busy town centre traffic arteries. Now Paron has come up with a solution: it has created the "Wideboard", an advertising format developed especially for construction site walls. Advertising space on the company's Wideboards in Zurich has been available since May this year.
No matter what the advertising message, the Wideboard's size and special format makes it a highly visible sight for any target group. A particular benefit of the Wideboard is that it is visible from all angles – directly in front, from the side or parallel to the panel.
Thanks to its high exposure rates and high visibility, the Wideboard makes a long-lasting impression on its viewers. For example, in the early summer of 2010, the surprised reaction of passers-by and motorists to the attractive bikini-clad models from H&M at Bellevue in Zurich prompted the media to publish a large number of positive reports about the new media format. AMAG is currently using the Wideboard in Zurich to showcase its two newest car models.
Thanks to the positive response from consumers, Paron is looking into the possibility of introducing the Wideboard in other Swiss towns and cities.
